PROFILE
I was a manager of a Japanese pub restaurant for almost five years and in this time have worked for WATAMI Food Service Corporation. Much of the work I did was management to control food and labor costs (based on sales predictions) daily, weekly, and monthly by budget. I was also involved in training for new employees and novice store managers.
After that, I worked for a consultancy firm, Will PM International Co., ltd., for a year. Much of the work was as a team-leader to boost sales of my team. I also
designed the manual of teaching skills for teachers of private tutoring schools, Will Educate School (an affiliate company).
In April 2011, I worked on a couple of organic farms in Japan. One is Kirari Kan-bayashi in Kyoto, who produces nature-farming products such as soy sauce, rice
coffee. Another is Osho Farm in Hokkaido, who produces over 50 varieties of European vegetables such as parsnips and kale. For further experiences with organic farming, I visited and stayed in
Ireland from May 2011 to May 2012. I learned at Marc Michel, in Killpedder, Co Wicklow, for 4 weeks as a trainee, and did WWOOFing* at Killruddery House & Gardens in Bray, working for the
Walled Garden Project for 11 months. I also did WWOOFing in Inchigeela, Co. Cork, for 2 weeks. *WWOOF: Worldwide Opportunity on Organic Farming
After back to Japan in May 2012, I learned again at Osho Farm for 2 months. In Aug 2012 I moved to Nagano for further experience at Villa d’Est Gardenfarm and
Winery for 3 months. Then I have worked as freelance translator since Sep 2012 as well as in-house translator at NAGANO KEIKI CO., LTD. since Nov 2012. I also lent some lands and start to grow
vegetables as well as grains from Apr 2013. Currently I devote weekday to NAGANO KEIKI, and weekend as well as some early mornings of weekdays to farming. I do freelance translation at any time
in the rest of my time.
SKILLS ANDEXPERIENCE
I have four years and 6 months of experience as a manager and have the license of a food sanitation supervisor and the license of a fire prevention supervisor in Japan.
I can design manuals based on behavior psychology and have the certificate of behavior science in Japan.
I regularly attended the ATC Language & Travel school of English to further develop my English language skills for 100 hours in 4 weeks.
I have two years of experience as translator for the following tasks and more: Killruddery House and Gardens, Manchester United TV, The Irish Today, and etc.
